Program November 17th 2023

On Friday November 17, eight highly interesting program points will be carried out which are presented at Swedish Dental Expo (invitepeople.com). Among these are a number of program points that are specifically aimed at dental technicians.

Dowen Birkhed
Fluoride, Aloe Vera & Zinc - three interesting substances for oral health.
Dowen Birkhed 09:00 - 10:30

Michael Braian
Digital dentistry - an overview of the technology and its benefits.
Michael Braian 09:00 - 09:45

Our conventional imprints work well, we have become experts in solving everything from complicated to simple cases with the method. Why would one even consider abandoning a fully functional method? The course will highlight the pros and cons of both conventional and digital technology. Is there ever a time when digital technology is superior? How does the technology work? What advantages are there compared to milling and the traditional casting? What can we use the technology for in clinical everyday life?

Max Andrup
Bind more, drill less.
Max Andrup 10:00 - 10:45

The smaller the tooth that is removed, the more of the tooth's built-in power distribution properties are maintained intact and you minimize the risk of pulpal impact.

This lecture will go through the adhesive techniques you need to bond posterior onlays to dentin predictably, safely and with a good long-term prognosis. With modern preparation technology and advanced but rational adhesive technology, you will get a tooth that, compared to the traditional crown preparation, has less post-operative sensitivity and runs less risk of future endodontics. 2023 is the year we embrace posterior adhesive dentistry for real!

Marcus Dagnelid
Digital treatment concepts in oral prosthetics-how to build optimal communication between dentists and dental technicians.
Marcus Dagnelid 11:00 - 11:45

In this lecture, it is described how to use the digital world in the best way as a dentist in prosthetic treatments on both teeth and dental implants. Marcus Dagnelid has for almost 20 years worked with product development together with various companies in the dental industry with a focus on CAD/CAM in oral prosthetics and surgery. With various case examples, he will focus on how to best use digital platforms and create optimal communication between dentists and dental technicians.

Dr Jason Smithson
Direct Resin in the Anterior Dentition: The ABC of approaching the Complex Case.
Dr Jason Smithson 13:00 - 14:45

Den här föreläsningen är på engelska.
This seminar is held in english.

Conventionally, discolored teeth and advanced wear cases are treated with indirect restorations: crowns and veneers. This approach is well based in the literature and over time, has proven highly successful, however, in some cases it may prove expensive in terms of overall cost, treatment times and most critically loss of tooth structure. This Master class is designed to allow the experienced practitioner to confidently approach more challenging anterior cases with direct resin in combination with occlusal rehabilitation and bleaching where indicated.

Lars Gahnberg, Shariel Sayardoust
Let my dataset change your mindset.
Lars Gahnberg, Shariel Sayardoust 13:00 - 14:00

During the lecture, we will describe the world's largest quality register for dental care (SKaPa). What benefit can be gained from a quality register etc. and the development of a national quality register for implants (SKRI).

Erik Lennartsson
Backwards Planning.
Erik Lennartsson 15:00 - 16:00

The lecture will be about "backwards planning" and about the importance of incorporating dental techniques already during the planning of the surgery. As a result of a well-executed plan, together we can create more predictability and create a better forecast over time. The lecture will be clinically driven with case presentations and videos from the surgery.
